This is a large and modern establishment that offers a variety of pub food and guest ales. We were able to pre-book a table but many people just arrived, found a table and ordered their food at the bar.
The place offers a fairly good value carvery with meats and peripherals looking very nice but most of our party of 17 went off the menu. Prices are very reasonable for the bounty of food that was served and the desserts are massive (although many are full of cream).
I had fish and chips (large) and realistically the small size would have been more than sufficient. The good element is that if you do not have room for desert then you can take it away in a bag for later consumption.
Ambiance was nice but as with every pub it depends on the quality of your fellow clientele so if you want a quiet meal then choose the opposite end from the play area.
Staff were courteous and food prepared quickly from a kitchen which must be used to heavy traffic. All-in-all a very good place to eat and do not be put off that it is in the center of an industrial estate.
