Final stop of the evening, the food shenanigans at JDW having extinguished our hopes of conquering the last two outlets in town (Bailey and the Con Club – I will return). A pretty basic place, though carpeted at least. Three ales on: Felinfoel, Tim Taylor Landlord and one called Skirrid from Tudor brewery (which was in good nick). Seemingly populated by the parents of those imbibing in the nearby Coach & Horses, a more mature audience were getting into the swing of a karaoke session hosted by someone who looked (and sounded) like Bonnie Tyler’s sister. Decent place if perhaps a little unmemorable, but the beer on this occasion would tempt me back in again. A 6.5 sort of place.
