Well situated in National Trust country, this pub attracts walkers and family groups. On our visit on a changeable November Sunday afternoon, every table was taken, mainly with diners and families with children, though a few drinkers were to be seen.We joined the hardcore on the benches out front with our dogs.
As Just a quick pint... described the interior is pretty much as is expected of a country pub in an attractive corner of the southeast, but deservedly popular in inclement weather. The food offering is well regarded, though as we couldn't be served for three quarters of an hour, we decided to continue our walk, after a drink.
As a Greene King house, the beer range was pedestrian, although my pint of IPA was in perfect nick.Sound pub.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Cock Inn
Traditional Kentish pub in a fine location opposite the village green. The main bar is housed in the larger and lower part of the building, whilst the 'Top Bar' (where children are welcome) can be found in the white weatherborded section at the west end of the building. No beer garden, but there are quite a few benches out front and on a fine day many people can be found across the road on the grass. Although not part of the pub, there is also a childrens' play area in the village playing field accessed through a gap behind the car park. Three real ales on handpump - Greene King IPA, Abbot and Ruddles. Overall, a decent spot for a pint (but let down on this visit by running out of food before 13:30 on a bank holiday afternoon when they should surely have been able to predict a rush of customers).
