Miltons Tap has a front snug and a serving counter that runs up the left-hand wall to some wooden booths at the rear. There’s seating to the right where a small kitchen can also be found, I think fried food is popular going by the smell. During my recent Wednesday evening visit there was bingo in progress which was attended by some pissheads I bumped into earlier in the day, hats off to the troopers! Standard and premium keg was available alongside Neck Oil and the four hand pumps were drawing Theakston’s Best, Dizzy Blonde, Old Peculiar and TT Landlord. I didn’t take to this pub at all, it’s like an estate boozer but on the high street.

Decent town centre pub with 3 ales on when I called. Ossett Blonde, Adnams Southwold Bitter and Theakston Old Peculiar. I had the Blonde which was a decent pint. Friendly service. Worth a visit.

Depressing pub with no ale of any note and hardly anybody in on Friday night. Not surprisingly, I suppose.
