What was previously Revolution and then Rift & Co in it's new incarnation is Boston Brothers which is predominantly a late bar club ensemble which opens from Thursday to Sunday around 8pm although website implies earlier opening. It's still open to all free if you should desire to enter but with no real ale most will venture to the surrounding pubs which do serve real ale.
I've no beef about doing pubs with no credentials to warrant a visit although it was odd being the only patron at 8.20 on a Friday night. One gets the sense it livens up a little later in the evening.
