Visited 04/06/26. Visited previously 05/03/19.

Decent cask offering here comprising the pale ale Laksaa and the Manx Mild both from Odin, Okells Best, the Castletown Bitter, the Shuttleworth Snap and the Star of India all from Bushey's. Keg offering of Guinness, Worthington CF, Norseman lager, Coors, Carling, original SB.

Two sides to this venue. Traditional front windows, the bottom section patterned to prevent passers-by gawping into the venue and with heavy red curtains. Right-hand side akin to a public bar is bare boarded with some leather padded banquettes fitted around the front right-hand corner and the rear'ish left-hand corner serving regular tables with small unbacked stools the other side thereof. A couple of the same tables and stools in the middle of the floor space. Walls are wood panelled and there is quite a bit of TT memorabilia on the walls and the space also hosts a pool table, dartboard, wall mounted jukebox, and an ancient looking fruit machine. The TV was tuned into live golf with turned down commentary. There is a small smoking area out the rear. The left-hand side akin to a lounge bar is lino floored, the same type of banquettes as in the public bar under the front window and around the rear corner serving the same type of regular tables with the small stools the other side thereof. Likewise, wood panelled and a TV above the bar and on the rear wall above the banquette tuned into the start of the cricket. An excellent pub in Douglas, one of the best.

Busy local nea the ferry port. Looks unspoilt with dark panelling. Enjoyed the Okells Mild here. Friendly staff and customers.
