Situated to the southern end of the main drag through Newton Stewart, the Crown Hotel is well appointed. Entering to a corridor, a public bar can be found to the front left-hand side of the building, whilst there is a larger bar/restaurant to the rear.

We chose the public bar. There's no cask ale here anymore. The keg selection was Greene King Ice Breaker, Thatcher's Gold, Dark Berry Cider, Blood Orange Cider & Cloudy Lemon Cider, Cruzcampo, Tennent's, Belhaven Black & Best, Heineken and something called Queen's Crown Lager.

Despite being nicely done out inside, we found this one a little disappointing.
