What a fantastic looking building; it is an extended white rendered 'cottage' type pub next to the canal, with a series of outbuildings including a former brewhouse, all of which date to the earlier part of the 19th cent.
The interior is an irregular shaped open plan room, with white and a coffee colour walls and ceiling, along with the fake beam look. There are some trophies and an eclectic mix of prints and pictures, from animals to old Wednesfield, on the walls for interest. There is Italian Sky TV and a couple of dart boards. There was a darts game going on at my last visit and no music. I have been critical of the service before, but not this time, the lady at the bar was friendly and jovial.
Beer; all tap stuff, no real ale, so Banks's MILD and bitter on keg. I had a bitter shandy, which was fine.
I have extolled the virtues of the exterior of this pub before, but on my last visit i can also say that i enjoyed the interior as well, along with a friendly face behind the bar. The sad thing, as a real ale fan, is that it only sells keg beer, but at least now i would happily pop in for one.

I completely disagree! Lovely pub with friendly staff and the best pint of Carling for miles around.
