A superb village pub with excellent beer, this is off the beaten track and well worth the detour to find. The building has 17th Century origins, and although it’s been altered in side, there are still some of the original features visible including beams and an inglenook; the latter has a woodburner. The car park at the back has a steep gravelled, pot-holed entrance, making it mildly hazardous for motorcyclists, but there is plenty of space. The garden isn’t that impressive given its rural location, it’s just a functional outside space with a large shelter near the pub. The sign for the microbrewery is still there, but as BrewGuru says below, that is long-gone. The bar is now mostly open plan, but it has remained cosy and comfortable. The landlord is welcoming, very happy to come and chat even though he was busy. Ales on were Quantock QPA, Exmoor Gold and Cotleigh 25, all in perfect condition. Definitely worth a visit, and it’s on the 2019 Somerset Ale Trail.

A good, solid village pub with large stone fireplaces and flag flooring. On our visit they had beers from the local Masters brewery, there was a 3.9% beer (spypost?) which I didn't really enjoy (nothing wrong with the serving - just the recipe) and a pale 4.1% (monument?) which was more to my taste. Judging by the empty barrels Sharps, Cotleigh and Exmoor also feature.
The pub advertises the Somerset Electric brewery as being based there. This moved away several years ago and became the Taunton Brewery which is now closed down.

Pleasant village pub cum restaurant in a pleasant village.
Log fires in winter an d sunny garden in the summer make a pleasant setting to try the 2 real ales always available; yesterday (Sunday) they had Quantock Ale and Quantock Sundowner, both were pleasant .
Overall, pleasant
