The best-located of the options in Bourton: right in the centre and overlooking the shallow Windrush stream. Due to the tourist hordes there's a preponderance on food - Sunday roasts on my visit - to the detriment of the ale, with Brakspear Bitter, Wychwood Hobgoblin and Marston's East Kent Golding Single Hop available on my visit, and although I seemed to have secured a bargain with a half of the latter and a packet of McCoy's for a reasonable £2.50, the ale quality was poor to say the least. There wasn't a table to be had, so plan your visit accordingly.

The family and I decided to stop off at the Kingsbridge Inn early on Saturday evening for a bite to eat. The menu consists of pub grub which is reasonably priced and good value for money, me and the kids certainly enjoyed our ham, egg and chips. The kitchen is open until 21:00 and the popular mains are all priced under £10.
There is a large beer garden that was packed due to the nice weather and we managed to get a table alongside the path that runs beside the river Windrush. There were lots of children paddling and our visit coincided with a model boat race which encouraged a jubilant atmosphere.
The interior consists of a couple of seating areas to the right of the pub and an L shaped bar area to the left. Alongside a standard draught selection are three hand pumps that were drawing Hobgoblin, Ringwood Best and Pedigree. There is a plasma screen that was showing Wimbledon tennis and around to the left rear of the bar is a dartboard.
There is a weekly quiz every Wednesday from 20:30.
The location of this pub dictates that it is geared towards tourists, but I thought that a pub atmosphere was still retained. This was my favourite of the pubs I visited in Duloc… erm sorry… I mean Bourton-on-the-Water.
