A surprisingly upmarket place with flashy designer furnishings in a very smart environment with laid-back music. Although open plan, there are several separate areas, as well as a large beer patio at the front with a retractable awning. I was pleasantly surprised to find Bass on sale here (and in top notch form), with Wainwright Gold on the other pump and Kirkstall Three Swords 'coming soon'. About as far from a boozer as you can get, but nice for a posh change.

This large central Gosforth pub consists of an open plan kitchen, a good sized frontage where patrons can sit outside. The interior is bright and funky and has plenty of eating and drinking areas. Deuchers is a regular and their two guests ales on were Hopback Summer Lightning and Ikley Mary Jane.
