A two bar pub with public to left and lounge to right each with their own external door but joined by a corridor behind the servery. I used the empty public, a few builder types were in the garden and there were a few old lads in the lounge. Modernish furniture of various heights in the public, seven screens in a small space for sport lovers, no machine that’s in the lounge with more screens, music pervades both bars. An odd mix of decor in the public with fake greenery and pewter pots, more pictures in the lounge.
Beerwise it was two varieties of Speckled Hen; Old and Golden plus very oddly Wadworths Horizon, not outstanding but competently kept, three multiple keg taps gave a choice of around a dozen kegs. Just a T-Bar in the lounge. Upstairs is a function room. Child friendly.

There was an A board outside with 3 hooks and two of which displayed what cask ale they had inside. Unfortunately the two beers I was tempted by weren't on the bar. However 3 ales were on handpump Theakston Bitter, Deuchers Caledonian and Purity UBU.
The interior in here was a mix of traditional and modern and the main theme was a sports bar, in the left hand side bar. Whilst the right hand side room, the lounge side had dark blue painted walls, tiled floor and carpeted at the far end and a lot more tables and chairs to seat groups of four. Not a very inspiring surroundings in my opinion.

The White Swan is a decent looking stone built pub that is a short walk from the train station.
The pub has got two seperate entrances the right entrance takes you into the bar which is a fairly small room with a pool table in it,there were no real ales on the bar in this room, the left entrance takes you into the lounge which is a lot bigger than the bar and also smarter, this room was carpeted and had bench seating which were divided into bays, there was a small TV showing a music channel.
There were two real ales on the bar i had a drink of Adnams bitter which was drinkable but nothing special the other beer was Bombadier.
This was a decent comfortable pub to have a drink in.
