Not bad for a hotel bar. Only 1 beer on but it was a decent pint and one I hadn't tried before - Lenton Lane brewery Gold Rush. We were the only customers in so we had a quick game of pool and moved on.

Have to say I really enjoyed my visit here. The barman was friendly and chatty and knew his ales. I went for the Springhead Roaring Meg 5.5%, which was delicious. Will defo pop in again when am around this way.

After many years the Boston Bean Company as been renamed to Bar 44 and real ales have been put on the bar.
Once inside there there is one room with the bar facing,this room has got bare boards and there is a pool table on a raised area to the front of the pub there is also a small raised area to the right which has got leather settees,the raised area to the left has got normal tables and chairs.
There were two handpumps on the bar and i had a drink of Castle Rock Harvest Pale this tasted ok but it was a little bit too warm,the other beer was London Pride but the clip for this beer was turned round.
This is quite a comfortable pub to sit and relax in but on my visit there was very little atmosphere as i was the only customer in here.
