Surprised to see a Greene King in the Peak District. But this wasnt the only one.
Timed it wrong - there was a horrible collection of middle class parent who couldnt keep their kids under control and were running riot.
Ban toddlers from pubs now.
When they left, you could see the staff had had a time keeping them under control. Not their job, really is it.

This used to be a Kimberley tied house and it is now a Greene king house.
The pub is fairly smart inside and it was very busy at about 1.00 saturday dinner most people were dining but drinkers were still made welcome.
There were three real ales on the bar i had a drink of Greene King IPA and was truely awfull it was'nt off but the taste of this beer was horrible the other beers were GK Abbot and Morland Bitter.
This could be a nice cosy pub in the evening when quieter but with beer like that i would'nt come here again.

We booked in here for food in the evening and I perhaps I expected too much. Our table was upstairs and I think we lost some of the atmosphere with us being detached from the rest of the pub. Definitely a popular place. A few couples were also dining but, on this occasion, the ambience was soon replaced by the sound of 20 or so (well behaved I should add) blokes who were out on a jolly.
On handpull there was Abbot, Greene King IPA and Moorland Original Bitter, which was fine. I’d pop in again as part of a Youlgrave crawl but, to my surprise (based on this visit), it wasn’t my favourite pub in the village.
