One of two pubs in the village of Nether Heyford, this place was busy with locals of all ages when I arrived on a Friday evening. There is a popular front room, with the bar itself on the right-hand side. To the rear is a pool table with access to an outdoor drinking yard to the left-hand side of the pub.
2 changing real ales are served here. These were Roman Way Barbarian & Tring Fanny Ebbs. There is also a real cider, which was Saxby's Cloudy Strawberry Cider. A pizza van parked at the front of the pub was doing a roaring trade. Several people were eating pizzas in the pub itself, whilst other villagers were also appearing from their homes to order them.
Nice pub with a lively atmosphere and judging by the ale and cider range, deserving of its place in the Good Beer Guide.

Great friendly pub with a good atmosphere. Good selection of drinks and very reasonable menu.
