The Ostrich is a large Marstons house the room i went in seemed a bit bland and there was only one real on this was Ringwood Seventy Eight this was ok though slightly to warm.

This place is in the heart of the countryside but just minutes from Derby, Mickleover, Littleover, Hatton, Hilton and Ashbourne.
The Ostrich has recently had caretaker managers but is now owned by a local village couple.
If you want to get away from city life for a few hours then there can be no better escape, it's friendly, serves great food, beer and a selection of wines and spirits.
In past years the Ostrich Music Festival was well attended, with people from all over the country camping out for a weekend of live music and open air food.
Camping is still available for tents and caravans, the situation couldn't be better with great views of the Derbyshire countryside.
There is a friendly welcome, great barstaff and a clean traditional pub environment with pool table, dart board, dominoes and excellent facilities for children outside.
Families are always welcome, so enjoy.
