Strongers . left this review about The Six Bells

The Six Bells is prominent with a large grass covered picnic table lined beer garden that is shielded from the passing street by a long brick wall. In the right-hand side of the pub is a small bar with a dartboard, but this area was empty during a recent Wednesday evening visit so I went into the larger lounge to the left where worn red banquettes run under the front windows and across the rear wall adjacent to the serving counter found on the rear wall to the right. The toilets up the left-hand wall have surprisingly large entrances, and I could actually hear a tap dripping in one of the toilets from the bar while there was some low background music playing. In amongst the fonts for standard and premium keg, as well as Neck Oil, are a couple of hand pumps that were drawing Otter Ale and Wadworth’s 6X. The guy behind the counter was friendly, but this place has seen better days, so I don’t plan on returning to join the other customer again.

I have dropped in here a few times now in the evenings and found it warm and welcoming.
I have not eaten here but the beer is fine and the pub is quiet and I like that.
