This is a JW Lees hotel with a very small bar area with hotel type easy chairs. Everywhere else is set up for dining, with background music inescapable. There are three Lees beers on, the Bitter, a Welsh version called Tan y Ddraid, and MPA. I went for halves of the last two, but the server disappeared midpour, and re-emerge to pull through a new barrel of the MPA. When I took this back as it was just as cloudy as the bottom of the old barrel, she virtually accused me of calling her a liar because she had said it was fresh on and I had shrugged expressively (translation: it may be fresh on but it's obviously not right). I could write a customer service training manual based on this young woman's behaviour and attitude. It would probably be more interesting than the beers, which were at least in reasonable condition (NBSS 2.75) once a half of Bitter had replaced the MPA. This would be one to avoid unless you happen to be walking in Glan Conwy and are suddenly engulfed in a snowstorm. (The fire is fake but effective.)
