A circular trendy cocktail bar with a central counter with purple lighting and sparse furniture that make it feel like the reception in a Dutch knocking-shop. There is outside seating, but it falls short of being a garden and is noisy due to traffic on the adjacent road. Dull, languid staff complement vacuous clientele. No real ale, over-priced cocktails and a complete lack of amity make it so worth avoiding.

No ale here, just "amazing cocktails and beautiful people". I'd strongly dispute the latter part of that claim.

There is plenty of seating outside the front of Bar So and the front doors all open up to create a bright and airy bar. The island bar is stocked with standard and premium draught and there is a cocktail menu. It took a while for me to be served on Saturday afternoon as the barmen were shaking their mixers but when they did finally get to me they were very friendly and polite. This isn’t the sort of place that shows live sport, but there is a stage area that was set up with equipment for live entertainment. There was some background music playing during my visit, but it wasn’t overly loud.
Later in the evening I returned here with a ten strong stag party and we were denied access due to having no females in our group. The bouncer was polite and directed us into town where the other drunkards were.

This isn’t the sort of place I would visit on my own again, but if I was in Bournemouth with the missus on a summer’s afternoon I would consider spending an afternoon in here.
