Four hand pumps, two not used, one offering up L Pride and the other the Caledonian Deuchars. Keg offering was K1664, Moretti, Cruz, Coors, Madri, Neck Oil, Fosters, Amstel, original SB and several Guinness taps.
Long rectangular Irish bar with a small seating area out the front. Inside it is bare boarded with the bar counter on the right-hand wall from middle of the front bar to the rear of it. Plenty of tall stool seating at the bar counter. Some tall tables to the right of the entrance in front of the bar counter and a mix of tables down the left-hand wall to the end of the bar counter. Plenary of screens showing footy and snooker without sound that provided by a jazzy soundtrack. Amongst the screens on the walls were a few interesting old pieces of sporting memorabilia. Beyond the front bar was a lounge / entertainment area with a small stage at the rear. A band was setting up during my short stay here and it was obvious from the flyers on the walls in the toilet that there are regular live bands and karaoke when there is not! The area had plenty of regular seating. A pleasant bar that would be a good venue to watch mainstream live sport.

This was a good Pub at one time when it was Welches Ale House It even got in the GBG. But now it seems to be more of a Larger & Guinness bar with Thai food up stairs. They only had London Pride on Tap when I went in it seems too have gone down hill in recent years.

This was never the most attractive pub from the outside, but the addition of two huge banners hanging off the front of the pub advertising the Thai food and there ability to do functions and take-away does make we wonder what is going on with this place at the moment. Thai was not available on my last visit a year ago, but it was permissible to bring food in to eat. Maybe the management have picked up on this and decided to make a few quid; I just hope that it is not to the detriment of the pub as I liked it in here.
The front of the pub is like a typical pub rather than the shop conversion that it is, but there is some more basic seating with sofas at the rear that I don’t find very comfortable. Three ales are usually available alongside a standard draught selection and I’ve enjoyed a few pints of well kept Stella in here. The staff are not the friendliest, but I’ve usually encountered a decent atmosphere.
I think that Gertie Browns over the road is better, but this place is ok for a change.
