The interior is just the same as I recall it from 12 years previous, and I was fairly sure it was the same barman as well. Of addition since then is the extension of the lovely outside terrace with a stunning view of the beach and headland to enjoy as you imbibe (see picture). Three cask on, a Tomos Watkin house beer (cold but in decent nick, NBSS 3), Gower Gold and a disappointing Gower Power (2). Shame about the latter beer taking the edge off what was a lovely hour or so. It’s a must-visit venue on a summer’s day – the beer garden view must be one of the best in the UK.

A dull, modern exterior belies a rather nice little pub within. The warming yellow interior is complemented by solid wooden tables and some chairs fashioned from old cartwheels - nice touch. The floor and ceiling are both wood-panelled. The bar area is cosily lit by old-style (though not in age) brass lamps and there are plenty of hops adorning the bar roof. Three pumps on the bar dispensing two Tomos Watkin ales - OSB and the house beer Worms Head Ale. Both were spot-on. Food is offered, the selection looked pretty good and prices weren't too bad. A TV was on, showing SKY news. Oh yes, and the view - a cracking sweep of the coastal headland, famous for its sunsets. Overall, well-worthwhile if you're in the area. Rated 8

This is a hotel, restaurant and bar complex. The Worms Head cottage, which becomes the hotel, was built in the 1880/90s. It has been extended of course and the ber is a modern, white rendered build with dormer windows on the steep sloped roof. It has its own patio area, with stunning views [as quoted from Mrs Soup] over the cliffs, beach and sea. The interior is a single open-plan room, which is in yellow and wood, with wood ceiling and wood floor. There is a stone fireplace and strange cartwheel chairs. The TV wasn't on and the music was general and at a decent level. Old photos are on the walls, with one corner being given over to Petty Officer Edgar Evans, the Rhossili born polar explorer, who died on Scott's expedition in 1912. The walls have guns and other eclectic memorabilia on them as well. Beer; usual tap stuff with a couple of handpulls - Tomas Watkin's OSB and Worm's Head Ale, both being decent. Not the tourist trap you may expect - worth a visit.
