Cask was Wye Valley HPA and Butty Bach. Keg was three flavoured Old Mount ciders, Guinness, Moretti Sale Di Mare, Brixton Reliance Pale Ale, Amstel, Inch’s and Cruz.
Roadside pub in the village of Marcross. Some aged wooden patio furniture at the paved side of the pub and a car park at the rear. Inside it is L shaped and has recently re-opened after a period of closure and has clearly been modernised. The bar counter follows the inside shape of the venue and there are nice tall, backed leather stools at the bar counter. The roadside part is modern bare boarded and there are regular tables with the bucket style chair versions of the tall stools at the bar counter. The other part with door access to the outside seating at the side of the venue is original stone flagstones with the same type of tables and chairs as in the front part. Walls are painted sage green and there are chandeliers providing good illumination on a murky evening along with more muted lighting fashioned out of brass instruments. A large log burner plus some eclectic art on the walls. With a green field opposite it really is a lovely setting and about a mile walk to the Nash Point lighthouse.
