2pm on a Wednesday quiet but a sanctuary from the cold friendly bar staff

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Portland Hotel

Quite a substantial former hotel at the south-east end of the railway works area, recently reopened under new management after a period of closure. Retains a traditional two-bar layout, with fairly basic furniture / decor and pool table in the main bar and larger lounge to the rear. Just Pedigree available from a total of four handpumps. Let's hope the new people make a go of it.
