Remote moorland pub on the A53 between Buxton and Leek. Once infamously listed as the pub with the most "draft" (meaning bulk) beers served, with over 50 keg fonts on a circular bar. On later visits 3 or 4 handpumped "Real" draught beers were available.
Being the 3rd highest pub in the UK, it lies in a high moorland area on the Cheshire/ Staffordshire/Derbyshire borders which boasts the 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th highest inns in a relatively small area. (Tan Hill, 1st and Kirkstone Inn, 4th are the out of the area other two).
