This pub's proximity to the station attracted me with a few minutes to spare before my train back to Sheffield - if I'd known it would be cancelled I could have gone a little further, but in fact I remembered taking some photos of this one a few years back: a tremendously impressive exterior, and I was interested to see the inside. It was quite busy at about 5pm on a Saturday. There's a small bar in a surprisingly small room, which has a white-painted barrel vaulted ceiling for two-thirds of its length, with the right hand end having a spiral staircase leading to some more seating. (I couldn't observe much of the remainder of the room, as it was nearly full of people.) There's no real ale, of course, so I had a half of Worthington Creamflow, which cost me a remarkable £1.15.

Close to hull train station. The pub is a bit rough and ready was advertising live music and has a dartboard. Standard draught selection.

This pub is in the main shopping area of Hull and it is fairly close to the train station.
It looks like this pub could have been converted from a bank, the main bar area is on the ground floor but there are seating areas on two other floors so if its full downstairs keep going up you might find an empty seat.
There was only one real ale on the bar this was Tetley Bitter this was a decent drink,i think this place is a bit rough and ready but i did'nt feel out of place here.
