Again, no cask. Keg offering of, again v good Guinness, Carlsberg, John Smiths, K1664, Fosters, Thatchers Gold and San Miguel.
Rectangular shaped bar away from the entrance in a parade of shops. The venue is bare boarded apart from a slate-coloured stone skirt around the bar counter which is in the rear left-hand corner of the venue. Again, the locals were perched on tall, backed stools on both sides of the bar counter. There was a dart board in the rear right-hand corner with then just a single tall round table supported by a few tall stools. To the left of the entrance was a corner fabric banquette and a single table with stools and a small table between that and the near end of the bar counter. To the right of the entrance was another corner fabric banquette back-to-back with a second booth table served by a similar fabric banquette. As expected, a lot of Irish sporting prints on the walls. The racing was on both TV's in here on my visit so that happily occupied me. Not everyone's cup of tea, but I'm v happy in a quiet Irish bar sipping my Guinness watching low grade horse racing!

This is an Irish bar located just over the North Circular from Neasden and I have driven past it too many times to count so I was quite excited about finally visiting on Thursday night last week. To be honest I was a little disappointed as it was dead with a group of three people in the left hand bar and one local in the right hand bar who was having a depressing conversation with the seemingly depressed young barmaid. Thankfully the internet jukebox jumped into life every now and again to give a bit a background noise, but it was intermittent. I’m sure that this place kicks into life when there is sport showing on the plasma screens or at the weekend when there is live music so maybe I’ll give it the benefit of doubt.
As I mentioned, this bar pub is split into two and there is a dartboard in both sides which are decorated nicely with old framed pictures and other such things. Obviously there is no real ale, but the Guinness was good and there was a decent selection of standard draught available. There is an awning out the front to shade from the elements, but the pub is located by a slip road running onto one of the busiest roads in the country so I would only venture outside for a smoke.
I would return again if passing and there was a match on, if only just to see what the craic is like.
