The Anchor Inn is a very traditional friendly and welcoming village pub.
My family enjoyed London Pride, Shropshire Lad, and Hobson’s Twisted Spire, very drinkable, unfortunately the 4th beer bump had ran out! The landlord is a very welcoming host and looks after his locals, my Aunt being favoured for having her pint in a beer jug! They now do bar snacks at reasonable price, including local pork pies etc from the local butcher. The meals previously had been a good standard but due to circumstance out of the landlord control there are unable to serve meals at present.
The front area has been re-furbished, probably more for the smokers but still a nice place to sit and view the village goings on. They also welcome dogs.
