This Grade II listed pub has been owned by the Devizes-based Wadworth Brewery since 1890, but has been closed for the past three years.
Parts of the pub date back to the 17th century and the earliest reference to the building becoming known as the Kings Arms is 1822.
Local council has now granted planning permission for it to be turned into two private houses.
