This is modern, clearly relatively newly built, pub set by the Bradford on Avon Marina next to the Kennet & Avon Canal. The beers on were Box Steam Brewery Piston Broke (£3.50 a pint); Doom Bar; and Rucking Mole. My pint of Rucking Mole came up cloudy, and pointing this out to the barman (possibly manager) he pulled up a generous taster in a half pint glass which we both tasted and agreed it was undrinkable. Obviously he replaced my pint for the Piston Broke. Of course this is the kind of service that should be provided, but nevertheless it’s still nice when it does happen. I didn’t see a menu but I would be very surprised if they didn’t do food.
This place has no original pub character, being very akin to a hotel lounge. But it is comfortably furnished in a modern way, and does have some seating outside looking over the marina. This place is good for a pitstop (or perhaps a Piston Broke stop), but isn’t the sort of place where I would choose to spend a long time.
