A St Austell pub, but clearly aiming more for eating and cocktails. My Cornish Best was not right, but was quickly replaced, though the person who looks after the cask beers said it was fresh on yesterday and the pipes had been cleaned. Whatever. I know it didn't taste right to me, and I complimented her on the quality of the Tribute (NBSS 4), so I think we called it quits.

This bar is now called Jaks. There is no real ale, but it appears to be popular for live music. There are a couple of pool tables. Not sure about opening hours. The door was open but nobody in the bar to serve when I looked in yesterday at 12 noon and calling out didn't bring anybody in the bar area to serve me, so I left.
