Three hand pumps dispensing Hogs Back TEA, TT Landlord and Harvey's Sussex Best. Loads of keg options. Camden Hells, Guinness, Camden Pale, Sxollie cider, Aspall cider, Pravha, Peroni, Madri, Lucky Saint, Neck Oil, Stiegl Goldbrau, Asahi Dry.
Came here 6 or so weeks ago (at date of visit) when the venue was temporarily shut owing to the basement flooding when monsoons were commonplace in southwest London. Thankfully reopened after featuring on the cover of London Drinker! There is extensive seating out the raised front of the venue, including patio heating. Think I got a tan just walking past the high-power output devices. Inside, the bar counter is just in front of the entrance, the area around is bare boarded apart from some chessboard type tiles around the counter itself. A banquette provides seating around the front right-hand wall with a red leather wingback chair in front of the fire grate (decorative only) just to the left of the entrance. There is a large TV above the fire grate showing ATP coverage on my early evening visit. There is a similar leather banquette around the perimeter to the left of the bar counter, and the area leads you out into the rear garden, presumably popular in times other than late autumn. As you walk round there is a dipped area with a big round table and a curvy red coloured fabric banquette just by the bathrooms. On emerging from this subterranean world, you reach the other side of the bar counter, with a raised area with another large TV above another non-operational fire grate. Some screens demark the small booth style tables along the right-hand wall of the venue. Lighting here is very nice and the music soundtrack reasonable volume and well chosen. Whilst these large rambling pubs are not everyone’s pint of ale, I thought this was a decent venue.

Very close to the hospital, this street corner pub has a large beer terrace to the front, internally it's open plan in an L shape. It has an upmarket feel and that is reflected in the pub grub pricing with mains approaching £20.There are flatscreens but thankfully on mute, while the soundtrack is jazz.Maybe more likely a haunt for Resident Doctors now that their pay has risen sharply rather than nurses.
At the bar just London Pride,NBSS 2.5 insulting £3.35 the half, with another clip reversed.A long T bar of standard kegs but there is a 4 tap indie beer font offering on my trip keg Titanic Plum Porter (£3pp weekly deal),Kirkstall Ripple Effect,Signature Brew Haze Machine and Sambrooks Poolside.Another real ale was being prepared with some care so possibly worth popping in to see if there is an interesting beer but otherwise not a standout pub.

This is obviously a 19th century end of terrace pub, previously known as the George, but possibly the Tooting Tavern prior to that; it’s a floral dance for sure and given its prominent high street location, I’m surprised no-one has reviewed it before.
The interior belies its modest exterior, with quite a few nooks and undulating interior topography, bare boarded with smoky blue paint, some floral wallpaper, white ceiling and a large expanse of bare brick, a nice etched glass mirrored wooden bar back a surviving appreciated item of heritage. Furniture is tall and blocky, some banquettes and a raised area to the rear; two shuffle boards were a distraction, but otherwise it’s a bit chintzy with young customers, some a bit gobby and laddish, all ignoring the distractingly audible and totally unnecessary F1 footage.
The ale fraternity amounted to two unused pumps, an unidentified reversed Thornbridge clip, Gloom then just Sussex Best at a central London price of £3.00 a half, served by a friendly barman and really quite good.
Improved with the removal of faceless men driving cars on the television, this place is passable, passable being the best adjective applied to a pub in this area, but the neighbouring Trafalgar is marginally better, where at least the faceless men driving cars did so in silence, though the prices are even more insulting.
