Paid a visit here for a drink back in March and said we would return when next in Cornwall... We visited again last month (June)... we arrived just after 4 pm and had a couple of drinks (Cornish Rattler Cider and St Austels Trelawney) The licensee remembered us from March and welcomed us back, how nice is that. The pubs open plan areas wrap all around the bar taking up three quarters of the floor space and is split into a dining area and a bar area and an area for games. Good decor and is light and spacious. It is a dog friendly pub where nothing seems too much trouble and tourist and locals seem to get on very well, proper Cornwall as i remember it from my youth. They also do food which is very nice indeed best fish and chips I have had in a long while. The Ales on Draught are essentially those from St Austell Brewery and at the last visit that was Trelawny and Tribute, both well kept and tasty, they also do Korev lager which is worth a try. Will be back for another sample next time we are in the area.
