Visited 06/05/25. Visited previously 19/12/23.
No cask but good craft selection here of Ugly Lager from the Ugly Brewery, the Dream Factory Pale Ale and the Camp Fire Hazy IPA from Two Tribes, the Lumina session IPA from Siren, the Reflex Lager from the Yeastie Boys, the Keller Pils from Lost & Grounded, the Umbrella Project Cider, the Hammerton Tint Nitro Stout and Lucky Saint.
Decent bar not too far from West Hampstead tube station. Bare boarded venue with the steel topped bar counter on the right-hand wall. The glass front has a leather banquette to the right of the door serving a couple of small tables. Some tall tables in the middle and some regular tables and chairs by the railings protecting the stairs down to the basement. There are a couple of tables up a couple of steps at the back where another flight of steps takes you up to the gallery with a leather banquette along the bare bricked wall, as the other walls are here, serving four small tables with stools the other side thereof. The venue plays vinyl and there are some interesting old pop related photos on the walls. I believe that there is a stage area downstairs, but I didn't venture down to check. The venue has some nice leaded windows above the main glass front and the music was at a nice level and cool. Quite like this one, but no cask means just average for me.

I used to visit this place in the late '90s; it had an upstairs gallery and was aimed at the young and trendy - I was certainly younger then and probably less un-trendy than now. We drank pints of Red Stripe and the place was generally ok but it's not the sort of venue I'd return to today as it seems largely unchanged, unlike me.

Good pub for a catch up. Trendy set of clientele. If you like Ales then this is not your pub. The have a comedy night second and fourth Sunday of the month. The bar staff are friendly.
