A Fayre and Square pub so what do you expect. Food based and when a family including four screaming kids came in I drained my Hobgoblin pretty sharpish and left.

The Roman Way is a large modern dining pub that is attached to a Premier Inn.
Once inside the bar faces,there is one large room which runs the width of the pub,this is divided into different areas by walls so there are lots of dining areas and very little for drinkers,the large right side is set aside for diners only,so drinkers have go to the left side which is part carpeted and tiled floor,the seating is bench type and normal tables and chairs plus one tall table and chairs,there was a TV in this area showing BBC news on mute.
There were two real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Doom Bar which was decent enough,the other beer was Hobgoblin.
The large dining area was empty on my Thursday dinner visit,the drinkers side was filling up with business type people who were talking about their business type things.
I found this to be a very dissapointing pub and not worth the walk.
