This is a pleasant stone-built village pub with a large garden. It's one large room, with the bar on the right and tables set for dining on the left. An area of tables that are more accommodating to drinkers is near the bar, and this leads through to the garden.
I received a warm welcome from the young woman behind the bar, and the Castle Rock Elsie Mo was in fine condition too, making this a memorable conclusion to my cycle ride from Edinburgh. Other beers available were Greene King IPA and Caledonian Deuchars IPA.
