Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Sloe Bar
Visited out of curiosity to see whether this small 'bar cafe' was really as dull and uninviting as it looks from the concourse. It was. (PS - No real ale, and a half of Guinness is £2.15, less 20% discount with a BITE card.)

The Sloe Bar was busy with young families and commuters when I popped in at about 18:00 on Wednesday evening. This is a basic rectangular retail unit that has had some seating and a bar slapped into it with a Sloe Bar chain makeover. There are a couple of canvas prints on the wall of St Pauls and London Bridge, but the rest of the place is rather bland. A small monitor shows current train leaving times which is probably the only reason I would ever choose to drink here again rather than one of the many pubs of the area. There is no toilet and the station gent’s over the way costs some loose change. The bar is stocked with premium draught products alongside John Smiths and Guinness. Half a pint of San Miguel set me back £2.10, but there is a discount with a BITE card (mine hasn’t arrived yet so I had to begrudgingly pay full whack). I had a look at the menu after wiping it dry and discovered lunch dishes at inflated prices.
I would have to be desperate for a beer to visit here again.

A small bar next to platform 1. No real ale. Food served all day. Toilets are opposite, but you have to pay. Wheelchair access. Childrens menu available.
