Rob Hunter left this review about The Shipwreck
This place changes its name more than some people change their socks, but otherwise seems to remain unchanged. Now The Shipwreck and a visit in June observed six hand pulls with just two of those in active service. I went for Triple fff Moondance, a new brewery to me (should that be fffffffff Brewery?) at a very reasonable £2 for a half. The other offering was Salopian Prohibition with a hand written label. Keg has some usual suspects but also Erdinger Weissbier and the lesser spotted Dunkel. The 'coming soon' board listed three ales.
A chilled out place and still worthy of 7/10 from me despite the lack of choice at the time of my visit. It still has the raised area as a stage for live acts. Fairly narrow, feeling a bit basic inside but functional and cosy.

ROB Camra left this review about The Waterpudlian
I've visited here 3 times over the last month or so, twice with Ms CAMRA. A good selection of cask ales on the bar and a couple of box ciders. It's one narrow room that goes back quite a way. There's even a stage towards the front. Warning, don't stay around on open mic night as the last "singer" is a local and she was appalling. All the pints I've had in here have been very good and we'll be back here next time we're in Waterloo.

Now called The Waterpudlian. A name change only.
7/3/16:
Much improved. 6 handpumps to choose from with a few local ales on. A single room with a stage by the entrance. A signed Echo and the Bunnymen T-shirt is proudly displayed at the side of the bar. It seems to like its music but Peter Starstedt playing in the background was a bit uncalled for.

Been in a few times but sadly always found the beer undrinkable. Maybe I've just been unlucky.
