this is a rather plush farmhouse conversion pub just off a very busy junction of roads into St Helens and Ormskirk. inside and out it feels rather clinical and corporate though some people may enjoy that kind of atmosphere. the huge and well maintained beer garden is spoiled somewhat by the noise of the cars and £4 a pint for standard national ales is steep even for this area. There are better country pubs around here but it’s nice anyway.
