Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Oak
Weatherboarded pub / restaurant / hotel on the approaches to the tourist hot-spot of Rye, so it probably gets busy in the middle of the year. However, there were a group of locals already in late on a Friday afternoon, and several tables in the opened out and refurbished L-shaped interior were booked for those dining later. Welcome real fire in a log-burner. Front beer garden. Only has a couple of handpumps, offering Harvey's (of course) and a juicy JPA #2 from Cellar Head (£4.00).
