Graham Coombs left this review about The King's Way

As mentioned below, a renamed former Titanic pub which has gone a bit more mainstream but still has some ales on. A nice building but the interior is a naff non-modern refurb and dominated by TV screens. The back area is a bit nicer (at least the volume was down there) and there is a pool table on a raised section. The cask selection was Greene King IPA and Abbot, Marstons 61 Deep (stay with me...) TT Landlord and, more importantly, a very fine drop of Bass which I am pleased to say the barman took some care in pulling. Good for watching sport or if quiet but not a patch on its previous incarnation.

Strongers . left this review about The White Star

I was the only customer in the White Star during a recent Tuesday evening visit, but the friendly barmaid was very welcoming and up for a chat. I had a pint of Bass which was very well served. The toilets are a bit of a trek upstairs. I don’t think I saw this place at its best so I’ll pop back in again when passing.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The White Star

First visit to this fine side-street Titanic pub which features a slightly more modern layout in the various seating / dining areas around the L-shaped counter than one might expect from the traditional façade but in other respects it's quite traditional too. With five handpumps on each part of the counter, I found five of the brewery's own real ales, the regular Everard's Tiger and three guests - including A Ray of Sunshine from Dukeries (£3.30).
