According to my records, I've visited this pub previously. Although I'm not sure when and I don't recall the pub. Although, there's nothing particularly remarkable about it to jog my memory.

There is a front bar with a corridor connecting it to a dining room. The bar has parquet flooring with pictures of sheep and cows on the walls. There are also some old 7" records, an old space invaders machine and a jukebox. A section near the window marked "cwtch" had a dartboard.

There was no TV that I could see but a radio was playing. With a bored-looking young barmaid, a local sat in the corner and just a family of 3 passing by, there was little atmosphere. A sign was promoting pizzas but I'm not sure I'd have been able to get one had I tried to order. Rolls on the corner of the bar were priced at £3.50. Dogs are presumably welcome, as canine ice cream is available.

There is some multicolour seating on the roadside for outdoor drinking. The cask ale is Felinfoel Double Dragon. Cambrian Bitter from the same brewery is on keg, whilst ciders were from Thatcher's - Gold, Juicy Apple, Cloudy Lemon, Blood Orange & Apple & Blackcurrant.

This may have been my second visit here but I'm fairly sure it will be my last.

A large pub which stands at the junction in the centre of the village, with a large car park, so should attract plenty of passing trade. There's a hotel entrance and a separate public bar with its own entrance to the right, nearest to the car park, with a Brains lantern over the doorway. There was only one person serving behind the bar, which also served the needs of those in the other room at the back of the building (who had presumably entered through the hotel entrance). In the absence of the bartender, who seemed to be a little short of motivation, a couple of locals served themselves, then when he reappeared complained because their lager was flat. The beer he poured me from the solitary hand pump was in reasonable nick, which was just as well as I was beginning to regret stopping here. Felinfoel Double Dragon is nothing to write home about, and especially when I'd had the Export version at the previous pub, but it was ok. Not ok enough to have me scrambling to get back here anytime soon though.
