Warm welcome by new landlord ( landlady in the kitchen )which is always a good start. One of our party is in a wheelchair so as always a bit concerned about access. There was a ramp provided to gain entry to the building and no real issues in the pub. Have to say this pub has improved quite a bit since we were last there( previous landlord ). He certainly looks after his beers and had a choice of three at the time. Timothy taylors landlord. ( my favourite ), Adnams best and one i'd never heard of, Gangly ghoul!!! The food was some of the best pub grub I have had in a long time. Nothing to fancy just good. The homemade pie of the day was scrummy. lots of games available to keep the kids entertained. The people running it are new to the trade and still learning, but they are certainly trying and listening to customers comments / suggestions. To sum it up (in my humble opinion) good food, good beer, nice people and fair prices. Not many pubs around here that you can say that about. I believe he has a website as well but I have not seen it yet. I certainly shall return in the near future.Oh just the one downside, member of staff texting while working behind the bar.
