Housed in a modern, single storey detached building which looks as if it was purpose built as a pub, this is commonly abbreviated to “JDs” by regulars, which is also what it says on the windows. It comprises a lounge bar, function suite and games room. The latter has three pool tables and four poker tables, as well as a small seating area and stools at the bar. The walls are decorated with various sporting photographs, signed football shirts etc, and the TVs show both music and sports channels. Its location, next to the Motherwell Civic Centre Concert Hall and 5 minutes walk from Motherwell FC’s Fir Park ground, means that it is also popular with concert goers and football fans.
