The exterior view and the name might suggest an older, traditional style bar. Once inside, however, it's clear that this has been converted into a modern, one room lounge. A pint of Guinness cost me £3.30 and John Smith's, Belhaven Best, East Coast IPA, Strongbow cider and Tennent's, Stella Artois and Carling lagers were also on draught. It's a decent enough pub, but nothing to write home about.
