Another corner, another pub, this one is a large brick built Deco building with some marble detailing around the main door, modernised inside but sympathetically in places. Inside it’s roughly an uneven U shape, seating areas in the shorter portion and an almost separate dining area in the longer side. The U shaped counter has four T-Bars and six beer engines along one face, two pulls on Lilly’s cider duty, one with Tribute and another with Abbott, two not at work. The Tribute was adequate. There’s a few exposed brick walls but mostly they’re plastered and painted green or cream, board floors and although mostly tables and chairs there are some more pub-like seating options. Tasteful decor of old woodcuts and floral prints, the constant music was not to my taste, in spite of the gentility it also has a screen. An outside drinking area overlooks part of Ealing Green.

Dating from the early 19th century as the Horse & Groom, this pub would appear to be a 1930s’ rebuild, the current name applied in 2010.
The interior can be seen on the pub’s gallery webpage, but otherwise there’s a boarded floor, smoky grey or wasabi walls with much bare brick. One item of note is the bar’s carved cornice, the natural brown bar front seemingly original. There are predictable large metal lampshades over the bar, then trendy blown glass lanterns above conventional furniture, some of it old school stuff. Customers were genteel locals, with a quite a few children in attendance at a whisker south of 10.00pm on a Friday night.
This is no longer a GK pub, but that didn’t stop their IPA being inflicted, along with Tribute and Portobello Star at a reasonable £2.55 a half and ok.
This is a credible pub, though some may object to having to watch the boxing or tolerate children this late. It’s ok as part of a crawl, but if in the locality, I’d prefer to spend an evening in the Red Lion.

A large hipster dining room sort of place, down past the end of the shops opposite the green. In typical modern style, there are bare wooden floors and dingy matt walls, furnished with a mixture of low and high tables with the odd sofa. It looks like the original bar has survived but with a new top. The back rooms are a restaurant with an open kitchen counter. It does have a fair range of beers though, with five on handpump plus a perry: at time of visit; Greene King IPA and Yardbird, Truman's Treason, Triple fff Comfortably Numb, Sambrook's Powerhouse Porter and Lilley's Bee Sting. There are patio tables outside and no traditional games, although there is apparently a shuffleboard table somewhere.
