There is a street door but prospective customers are directed to the entrance on the car park side, which can be accessed on foot through a gate. There's a notice on the door saying "no sports wear", which I suppose I should have paid more attention to as I was wearing a Luton Town shirt. As I approached the bar, the young lass who was serving said that sports wear was not allowed. Luckily I was wearing a vest under my shirt, so I just took it off and asked for a half of one of the real ales. There are three hand pumps, of which two were on at the time of my visit, the other being pulled through by the manager. I took my half of Liverpool Organic 24 Carat (a golden ale, would you believe) to a nearby table and had a look around. Most customers seemed to be family groups, including young children, have a Bank Holiday meal out. I saw one man wearing an American basketball shirt, but apparently that doesn't count as sportswear. Why not just say "no football fans", if that's what they mean? (I'd still have ignored it.) The beer was in good condition, but a little pricey for the area at £3.60 a pint (it's £2.40 at the Cock & Pullet).

A nice modern style pub. Serves 3 real ales. A relaxing drink can be had in here or the outside terrace. Large spacious interior with a tropical fishtank in the fireplace.
