A lovely building, though the idea (quoted by WhatPub) that it is 14th century is risible. It has a revolving front door and a very polite and welcoming doorman. Once through the foyer, the bar area is absolutely stunning (see photos); the bar has two hand pumps - I went for Timothy Taylor Landlord, Ossett White Rat not being to my taste. Unfortunately the Landlord was not good (NBSS 2 was probably generous) and at £6.50/pint definitely not recommended. I suggest future visitors pop in for a coffee instead.
