A handy pit stop for drivers on the furiously busy A169, the Fox & Rabbit also offers accommodation in various forms. I was staying nearby (Dalby Forest youth hostel is in Lockton) but I wouldn't recommend the walk out from the village as there is no pavement or footpath. This is the sort of pub, increasingly common, that relies on selling food to passers by to such an extent that the occasional beer drinker feels somewhat out of place. Luckily the weather was warm and sunny so that after purchasing my half of the very gluggable local beer (Cropton Yorkshire Moors) I was able to escape to the outside seating area next to the car park. The other beers were Black Sheep Bitter and Timothy Taylor Golden Best.
