A large canal side pub with its own moorings. There is a large tidy garden ideal for dogs and children, providing water bowls for the former and play apparatus for the latter. Inside is largely open plan, though with various bar areas demarked as described below by different flooring types. Food was plentiful and enjoyable, mostly pub classics. The young female staff were friendly and helpful, and the other customers were a civilised bunch. Ales on were Doombar, Weeton Barbridge Bitter and Spitting Feathers Session Ale. The Spitting Feathers was well past its best, though the other beers were well up to the mark. An excellent place to stop if travelling by canal.

Popular canalside inn in bypassed village with emphasis on food trade. The interior has several rooms leading off one bar, with perhaps a bit too much contrived decoration (including a potting shed theme to one room!). Quite comfortable though, with a fair selection of beers (although at time of visit, a number of them were off). Outside there are canalside gardens and moorings. Reasonable, but suspect it can get busy.

Perfect place to moor up when you're doing the Four Counties Ring as there's nothing else in the immediate area. The pub has it's own moorings, so we stayed here overnight. It's a large pub, with most of its trade coming from diners, but later on it turns into a decent boozer with several locals coming in to join us and a few more boaters. We acrually ate here and the food was good as well. Three cask ales available with a changing beer from Weetwood always on and a couple of guests as well. All the beers we had were in good nick. A very good canalside pub.
