Seemingly part of the Sir Christopher Wren Hotel, this is bar is accessible from the river side up a few steps and through a nice outside patio area. Very plush and upmarket inside, carpeted throughout and the far room was set for dining. One ale at the bar though - WEBREW Garter - which was in good form though £2.20 a half, ouch. They seemed surprised to see a drinking customer and matey who eventually appeared behind the bar had to be told the difference between a Garter and a Carlsberg. And then there was no change (cue him disappearing for 5 minutes to get a fistful of fivers for the till). Hardly a destination but the quality of the WEBREW means I’ll be a tad more generous than might otherwise have been the case.
